Crossings HOA Meeting Minutes – Jul 21, 2002

MINUTES OF THE CROSSINGS’ BOARD MEETING
JULY 21, 2002

The meeting was held at Pat Mullen’s and was called to order by Jack Curran at 7:05 p.m. Board members present included Jack Curran, Sue Fey, Cathy Lesjack, Pat Mullen, Dan O’Connor, and Ray Speicher.

Cathy reviewed the previous meeting minutes and noted that the directories have been delivered.  Items still requiring attention include a return address stamp (Pat M.) and an “election procedure” discussion.  She also distributed “The Crossings’ Yearly Timeline” which was provided by John Lesjack.

Pat M. distributed the Treasurer’s Report and stated that we are in good shape financially.

In the absence of Pat Francis, Jack reported that the trees have been planted behind the backstop. He will obtain mulch for around the trees in the near future. Jack received a letter from Shirley Arnold.  He will be in touch with her to discuss her concerns. He questioned who is maintaining the path next to Arnold’s and will check with Pat Francis. Ray and Pat F. will remove the fallen tree behind Arnold’s and the dead tree behind Plocido’s. Cathy asked if the board had authorized trimming of trees along Rochester Road by Hunting Ridge, as they have been recently cut and the branches left along the road. She will check with Pat F. to see if he knew about it. Dan suggested we notify homeowners in our next update that trimming and/or removing trees from common areas is prohibited without board permission.

Jack advised that he had received a call from Paul Fleck who owns the farmhouse between Hunting Ridge and Crossing Ridge.  Mr. Fleck is concerned that the pond is being fouled by our retention system. Ray, Jack and Pat M. will set up a meeting with Mr. Fleck to discuss his concerns. If necessary, they will contact John Partridge from the township for his input. Jack also received a call from Cindy Rohm about water coming out of the ground on her property. Jack, Ray and Pat M. will visit her also.

Ray reported that the poison ivy is back in the Phase I common area. Discussion was tabled until Pat F. can further investigate the best way to remove the poison ivy for good.

Cathy thanked Sue, Ray and Pat M. for organizing a successful Clean Up Day on May 19, 2002.  Approximately 35 homeowners and children participated in the effort.  All participants received Safari Sam’s coupons and Erik Olsen and Patrick O’Connor won Fun-Fore-All certificates.  Cathy Lesjack won the drawing for the garbage can.

Ray reported that Pat F. had received a letter from homeowner Tom Buchinski expressing concerns about dumping that is occurring across from 137 and 139 Crossing Ridge.  Cathy motioned to remove the debris as necessary, add no dumping signs and write a letter of response to Mr. Buchinski. Dan seconded.  Motion passed.  Jack stated he could obtain the signs from Kemp Konick. Cathy and Ray will set up a meeting with Mr. Buchinski as soon as possible.

No action will be taken on charging for Resale Certificates. Dan collected the available proofread covenants for corrections. Sue will draft a Homeowner’s Poll and email it to the board for review.  Cathy reported she had received a call from homeowner Lucy Muckle about limiting door-to-door sales in our neighborhood.  Jack stated that the board is not a government and this issue would fall under Township regulations.

Discussion of a Covenants/By Laws and Park Rules committee was tabled till next meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m. Due to the Labor Day holiday, the next meeting will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. at Cathy Lesjack’s.
