Crossings HOA Board Meeting – Sept 8, 2002
MINUTES OF THE CROSSINGS’ BOARD MEETING
SEPTEMBER 8, 2002
The meeting was held at Cathy Lesjack’s and was called to order by Vice-President Ray Speicher at 7:06 p.m. Board members present included Sue Fey, Pat Francis, Cathy Lesjack, Pat Mullen and Ray Speicher.
Cathy reviewed the previous meeting minutes and noted that she had sent a letter to Tom Buchinski regarding his concerns. Items still requiring attention included: 1) return address stamp (Pat M. said he has it and will deliver to Cathy); 2) election procedure discussion – to be placed on next agenda; 3) Homeowner’s poll – discussed later in this meeting.
Pat M. distributed the Treasurer’ report and stated that money has been saved on lawn mowing this year due to the lack of rain.
Pat F. reported that Jack Curran had concerns about how Leisure Lawn planted the trees behind the backstop. Ray motioned to call Leisure Lawn and discuss the situation before any other action is taken. Pat F. seconded. Pat F. will contact Leisure Lawn.
Ray reported that he had met with Tom Buchinski regarding his concerns about the dumping along Crossing Ridge. Mr. Buchinski agreed to allow the current debris to decompose. “No Dumping” signs have been posted.
Ray and Pat F. reported that they had met with Paul Fleck. Mr. Fleck is concerned that “sediment from the retention pond is filtering too quickly into his pond and thus filling his pond”. He recommended several options to fix the problem. Ray will set up a meeting with Mr. Fleck, John Partridge (Township Hydrologist), and Pat F. to walk through the area and determine the best way to fix the problem. In addition, Pat F. and Ray will take care of a fallen tree in that area.
Ray reported that the Cox’s would like to put up a fence next to the trees along Rochester Road. Estimated cost of the 90-foot fence is $2195 for labor and materials. Discussion ensued as to whose property the fence would be on – Cox’s, the Crossings or the state. Pat F. will look into the matter and report next meeting.
Pat F. and Ray reported that they took down the dead tree behind Plocido’s. Pat F. and Pete Carlino cut down 5 trees behind Arnold’s. Also, Ray received a thank you note from Shirley Arnold. Pat. F. advised that no action will be taken on the poison ivy in the Phase I woods, as it is natural to the area. Cathy reported that grass is growing between the omni stone under the Phase I grills. Pat F. will spray the area.
Ray stated that he has the remaining proof read Covenants and will pass them along to Dan. Discussion ensued as to the necessity of a Covenants/By-Laws Committee. Discussion will continue after Homeowner’s are surveyed. Sue will add the following question to the Homeowner’s Poll: “Are there any issues and concerns you have today regarding the Crossings’ Covenants/By-Laws/Park Rules?” The surveys will be mailed with a request to be returned to Sue, Pat M. or Ray by October 31, 2002.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:08 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at Ray Speicher’s.
