Crossings HOA Meeting Minutes – Jan 6, 2002

MINUTES OF THE CROSSINGS’ BOARD MEETING
JANUARY 6, 2002

The meeting was held at Pat Francis’ and was called to order by Jack Curran at 7:00 p.m. Board members attending were Jack Curran, Pat Francis, Cathy Lesjack, Rhonda Monikowski, Pat Mullen, Dan O’Connor and Ray Speicher.

Pat M. distributed the treasurer’s report and stated that the 2002 dues statements have been mailed. Only five homeowners still owe dues from 2001, and they were sent letters of reminder in the 2002 statements. He added that the new roof has been completed on the Phase I pavilion at a cost of $400. The painting and staining totaled $750. Lanterns were purchased for use in the pavilion – Pat F. will retain possession of them.

Pat F. reported that Leisure Lawn completed work behind Donofrio’s and in Phase I common area and it appears to have helped the drainage. Dirt was delivered behind the backstop. Planting will happen in the spring. Pat also reported that Eckenrode has suggested spraying the Phase I field for weeds and dandelions this spring along with edging along the trails and paths. Pat will get a price for further discussion.

Jack and Pat F. thanked Kemp Konick for cleaning up after the bonfire and for additional clean up of the poison ivy. Jack also thanked Frank Monikowski for assisting in fixing the ruts at the Phase I park entrance by Cepanec’s. Jack motioned to look into improving the path entrance or fixing the drainage problem along the path. Pat F. will contact Leisure Lawn for suggestions. He will also discuss “paving” under the grills.

Jack reported that the website is up and running thanks to John Cegalis. Discussion ensued as to how to promote the website to the homeowners. Dan will investigate the cost of having the covenants typed for inclusion on the website. Cathy will forward the minutes to John.

Jack reported that the Phase III retention pond appeared to be holding water due to leaf disposal that was causing leaves to block the pipes. He spoke with John Partridge (Township Storm Water Engineer) who declared it our responsibility to clean out. Jack and Kemp will clean out the leaves as soon as the ground is more frozen. Jack also reminded homeowner’s to refrain from parking on the street, particularly during snowfalls.

Dan will head the election committee for 2002. He will ask two other homeowners to serve on the committee. Ray will hand over his notes from last year. Jack, Pat F., Rhonda and Ray are up for re-election.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2002 at Dan O’Connor’s at 7:00 p.m.
