Checking Account balance -   $7,248.31

Expected expenses for the remainder of this year include invoices for on more landscaping service charge; two more electric bills; and postage expense for another mailing. This December mailing will include the year-end financial report; the HOA president’s letter; and the 2015 budget.

Grounds Report

Ray Speicher is continuing negotiations with Goerl Landscaping for the renewal (with changes) of the current 3 year agreement that will expire at year-end. If additional time is required to complete a new agreement, we have until the first regularly scheduled mowing/mulching on April 1, 2015 with Goerl or another landscaping contractor.

New Business

The board had further discussion regarding purchasing and posting “No Dumping” signs throughout the plan free-spaces. It was decided that posting a notice on the web-site regarding disposition of yard waste would be more cost-effective.

On November 6 and November 11, observations were completed to determine the status of working post lamps. There were 9 homes with non-operating post lamps on both occasions. Homeowners at these nine properties will receive mail notification from the HOA requesting that repairs are completed within 30 days.

A notice will be posted on the web-site regarding this year’s Luminary Night scheduled for December 21st. The Board will arrange for Santa to visit and for the Cranberry fire truck to pass through The Crossings. We are in need of a volunteer to pull together plans for cookies and refreshments for the children who will meet with Santa. If you are interested in helping out, please contact any Board member or use the web-site to indicate your willingness to participate in this wonderful Crossings tradition that has meant so much to all of our children.

Regarding board positions for the 2015/2016 term, the positions held by four board members are up for re-election next April. For those possibly considering nomination for election, it should be known that two board members, Jack Curran and Chuck Kraynik will not be running for re-election. These vacant positions create the need for at least several new members to bring their ideas and perspectives to this board. The current board hopes that you will consider volunteering your service. Jack’s service to this HOA spans more than 25 years and is appreciated. His positive outlook and good advice will be greatly missed.

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 10th at 7:00pm at the Kraynik residence at 138 Crossing Ridge Trail.
