Crossings HOA Meeting Minutes – April 29, 2002

 

MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF
THE CROSSINGS’ HOMEOWNER’S ASSOCIATION
APRIL 29, 2002

The annual meeting of the Crossings Homeowner’s Association was held on Monday, April 29, 2002, at Jack Curran’s house.  It was moved from the Phase I pavilion due to inclement weather. A notice was posted at the pavilion.  The meeting began at 7:40 p.m.  Present were board members Jack Curran, Pat Francis, Cathy Lesjack, Pat Mullen and Ray Speicher. Also present were homeowners Eric Culley, Sue Fey, Kevin Logan, Keith Baker, Janet (Stauffer) Rozborski, Randy Levis, Jim Steele, Rob Ash and Rick Mason.

President Jack Curran welcomed all and explained that board member Dan O’Connor was out of town on business, and Rhonda Monikowski had a family emergency.  He reported that the Crossings is financially stable and debt free.  In addition, homeowners can expect to see upcoming improvements to the Phase I park including, replacing the path next to Cepanec’s and constructing an omni-stone pad under the grills. Jack also reported that the website (www.thecrossingsneighborhood.com) is up and running, although still being developed. Minutes of meetings are currently being posted, and it is expected that the covenants and by-laws be available soon.

Pat Mullen distributed the Treasurer’s report, and stated that 83 percent of homeowner’s had already paid their dues for 2002.

Grounds Committee Chairman, Pat Francis reported that Eckenrode has been retained for grass mowing again this year.  In addition, they will apply weed and feed to the Phase I park when the weather breaks. The area will be flagged after application so that homeowners will be aware that this has been done.  Pat also reported that Leisure Lawn will be planting trees behind the backstop and replacing trees along the tree line in Phase I this spring.  Jim Steele questioned the planting of trees due to the threat of cicadas this year.  Pat will question Leisure Lawn about this. 

In the absence of Dan O’Connor (Election Committee Chairman), Pat Mullen reported that there was a 37 percent increase in voter turnout with 41 homeowners voting. The new board members are Jack Curran (27), Ray Speicher (24), Pat Francis (21), and Sue Fey (20).  Terry Mohr was next with 18 votes.  Jack thanked Rhonda for a job well done during her term on the board.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m. A board meeting immediately followed.
