Location: Curran home

In attendance:

New Business:

Self-introductions of Board Members including background information.

Description and responsibilities outlined for each Board position.

Service terms were defined. 3 members have 2-year terms and 4 members have 1-year terms.

A motion for members to consider volunteering for positions and terms at the next Board meeting was made and passed.

John led a discussion of the current financial position and recordkeeping of the HOA. Options to supplement the account balance such as an increase in annual HOA dues and/or an assessment for meeting the HOA obligation to restore the drainage ponds to good working order were discussed. The option to reduce the frequency of mowing during summer months as a cost-saving measure was also brought up.

A motion followed this discussion to move forward on the Phase 1 pond restoration, was seconded, and the vote was unanimous in favor. Commitment of funds for this project, absent an increase in dues or an assessment, and paying for estimated mowing charges will leave the HOA with an account balance of approximately $500 at year end.

Ray pointed out that other fund raising efforts such as golf outings; a night at the races; etc. were also worth consideration.

John urged everyone to access The Covenants at the Association web-site: https://thecrossingsneighborhood.com to refresh everyone’s memory of their contents.

It was agreed that initially, the Board should meet more frequently than monthly and that the next meeting will be on June 15th at 7:30pm at the Speicher home.
