Crossings HOA Meeting Minutes – June 27, 2018

The Crossings Homeowners Association

Board Meeting

Date:   June 27, 2018

 Location: Phase 1 Common Area

Meeting started at 7:00 PM. All board members were present except Carrie Silvers.  There was one resident at the meeting.   Previously month’s minutes were approved.

Treasurers Report:

Checking - $20,166.92

Savings - $ 5735.47

There are 4 resale certificates that have been issued.

Grounds:

We have requested bids for landscaping service from 5 different companies.  Two of the companies chose not to bid and 3 decided to respond with a bid.   We have chosen to select JML as the next landscaping company for the Crossings.  With their experience and their cost, we believe they are the best company.   There is an approximate $6500 savings over the current landscaping company with the same services.

We are going to remulch the playground in the Phase 1 Common area in 2020 and the contract with JML includes the remulch.

We are still receiving bids for laying down stone in the trails.

We have also decided to discuss further with JML on if we could do a fall cleanup.

Web Site and Social Media:

The Crossing’s HOA Website has 181 (decrease of 1) users registered.   There are also 151 (increase of 4) Facebook members in the Crossings Neighborhood Group.

Social:

For any resident that is interested in joining the social committee, please send an email to board@thecrossingsneighborhood.com

The next event is probably going to be the Chili Cookoff.   We will provide more information and dates as we get closer.

Old Business:

No updated on the Trowbridge house, but it does seem that the grass is being cut as they promised.

We have contacted one resident about not having a lamp post.  They have not responded and we will be proceeding with further communications.

New Business:

It has come to our attention that there are several residents with sidewalks that are buckling.   We wanted to remind all residents that it is their responsibility to fix any issues with sidewalks.  If residents do not repair their sidewalks, a code violation complaint may be filed with Cranberry Twp.

The Board is going to create an escrow account as per our updated covenants for rental deposits that will be required for any house that is currently being rented.

Upcoming Events:

Chili Cook Off - TBD

Next Meeting:

The next board meeting will be on Wednesday July 18 at 7:00pm and the location will be at the Phase 1 Common Area.
