Hurricane Sandy Damage Update

The Crossings HOA had several members walk around the neighborhood to survey the damage from Hurricane Sandy.  The following is the report:

I walked the neighborhood this morning and inspected the condition of the detention basins in operation with the heavy rains we’re experiencing. Happy to report they are operating perfectly, the Fleck area is holding water and discharging large amount of clear water into the pond, and the one we just did this year is running very nicely into the drainage system where the woods once were. (Belleview Park)
Another issue is the light at Powell Road that illuminated our rock sign. I told Jim Lacey I have a new light fixture to replace the damaged one, but upon personal inspection of the area, there is much more damage to the system than a broken light fixture. The electronic sensor and housing are destroyed and wires that feed the post light and the damaged fixture are torn & in disarray. It would be my recommendation to contact the electrician we used recently to repair the light at Hunting Ridge, and contract the repair of the Powell Road unit soon!
