HOA Board Meeting Minutes – 8-30-17

The Crossings Homeowners Association

Board Meeting

Date:   August 30, 2017

Location: Common Area

Meeting started at 7:00 PM. All board members were present except Mike Kendlick, Kevin Sullivan and Keith Meyer.  There were no residents present.

Treasurers Report:

Checking - $9446.07

Savings - $ 5733.34

We have received 2+2 resale certificates so far in 2017.

We still have landscaping, insurance and lawyer bills to pay before the end of the year.

Grounds:

We reached out to one landscaper who provided a quote for $9100 to replace all the wood chips in the entrances to the park with gravel.  The hope is that gravel will be less expensive that the current wood chips that we are using and they will last longer.   However, due to the new trail to park place being packed, there is discussion that maybe that surface might be better for the neighborhood.   We are still researching all options.

Web Site and Social Media:

The Crossing’s HOA Website has 173 users registered.   There are also 131 Facebook members in the Crossings Neighborhood Group.

We will be sending around a notice to get more people to sign up for the website and Facebook pages in the next mailing to all residents.

Social:

It looks like the residents wanted a neighborhood happy hour.   Therefore, please join us next Friday Sept. 8th @ 6:30 pm in the common area for our Back to School Happy Hour! BYOB

The Social committee is also working on details for a Halloween and Holiday parties.   Stay tuned for some excited ideas planned for these events.

Old Business:

There is no date set yet for the Sheriff’s sales of the abandoned house on Trowbridge Court.

We have reviewed the amended covenants and provided minor changes and details.   They will now be sent to the Lawyer for final review.   Once the Lawyer approves, we will send the ballot to all neighbors to vote on the amended covenants.

New Business:

One resident asked for the board’s approval to build a fence and swimming pool.   After reviewing all the documents, the board approved the plans.

The Crossing Neighborhood will once again participate in the “Slow Down Campaign”.   For more information, you can find information at: http://www.twp.cranberry.pa.us/1683/Slow-Down

One neighbor asked about why Park Place put down packed cinders on the trail between the Crossings and Park Place.   They were required to do it so strengthen the trail according to conversations that we had with people in Park Place.

Upcoming Events:

Sept 8, Neighborhood Happy Hour, BYOB

Next Meeting:

The next board meeting will be held on Sept 27 at 7:00 PM at the Phase 1 Common area.
